Price hikes are dumb, own your own SaaS
So Loom is raising prices up to 100x on people while it's never been easier to just build your own versions of simple software Which is absolutely crushing SaaS stocks. I thought this was so stupid So I made my own completely open source version of Loom called Clips and honestly didn't stop there There are so many freaking apps that charge me $30 a month for this and another $20 a month for their AI and the blah blah blah blah So I made a ton of alternatives to common simple applications They are completely free and open source and they all have agents built in so you can just prompt to create whatever you want But not only that the agent can actually update the codes You can customize each of these apps to whatever you want them to be because they're yours. They use your keys They use your domain. You can host it wherever you can do whatever the hell you want It's your software in my opinion. The future of SaaS is clonable.
