See what’s straight and create a zone to use th...
When I learned this as a 15 handicap back in the day, my mind was blown. You can see I have one alignment stick down on the ground aiming my club face at my intended target, which is the left side of this building. And you can see I have another alignment stick six feet out in front. And we would all agree that if I were to draw a line from my target line alignment stick down the ground through that alignment stick and into my intended target, that would make one line. So that is my target line. But when I stand over my shot and I look up at that target line alignment stick, look at how far right that looks. So I need every one of you watching this video to experience this for yourself because your mind will be blown. I need you to pick a target out in the distance, aim one alignment stick at that intended target, go six feet out in front, place another alignment stick in between the one you have back here and your intended target. Ideally, they make one straight line and then stand over the shot and take a look at how far right that visually looks. This alignment stick is technically straight. And then if you wanted to take this to the next level, what you could do is you could put another alignment stick about a foot or two to the right and you can create a nice little zone to start shots inside of. But again, you can see, look how far right the zone visually looks. I'm about to nail this lady getting male and my intended targets over here. So this is a way to use the power of your eyes to make sure that you're making a swing that's on plane and getting a golf ball to start a little bit off to the right, curve back, but not over curve your target line.
