Most golfers come over the top because they start the downswing with their shoulders. The pros don’t. Watch Bryson DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia, and Justin Rose. They all “FEEL” like they drop their arms first while keeping their back to the target, which shallows the club. Then they rotate which allows centrifugal force to swing the club out towards the golf ball. Feel vs real is everything here. It might feel like you’re dropping the club way behind you… but on camera, it looks perfect. Stop spinning first. Drop → then turn. #golfswing #overTheTop #shallowing

I want it to be here, and I want your arms to just drop, and then go. I don't want your upper body to go here, because that throws the club head out. I want the arms to drop. Your first move, instead of shoulder, should be down. Letting my left arm drop as I stay closed. I'll never actually be in this position, but the sensation is there, and as soon as I put some speed and turn, everything's gonna be in a nice delivery position to hit a proper shot. Shut up. Shot. Brr.

To improve your golf swing, drop your arms first instead of starting with your shoulders. This technique helps shallow the club and positions you for a better shot.

  1. Start the downswing by dropping your arms, not shoulders.
  2. Pros like DeChambeau and Garcia drop arms while staying closed.
  3. This technique shallows the club for better swing path.
  4. Feel like you're dropping the club behind you for proper form.
  5. Rotate your body after dropping arms to generate centrifugal force.
  6. Avoid spinning your upper body before dropping arms.
