This Obsidian feature is so good that it could probably be a product by itself, but it's free. Hey everyone, welcome to Mastering Machines where we discover tomorrow's reality and talk about the latest and greatest AI news. Yesterday I talked about Obsidian, but now I want to talk about one of its main features, which is the Vault. The Vault is essentially a smart folder on your computer. Unlike most simple apps, it links your notes into a personal-style wiki, and it reveals hidden connections via a graph view. Here's an example of the graph view from a Vault. It has all these different connections that are interconnected, and you can see these connections. You can play around with this and really build out your ideas and make them into projects and see all the links between them. Here's an example of a Vault. A Vault is essentially a smart folder, and this is how it will look. You can link all of the things in your Vault to different files, so it can all be connected via the graph. But why would you want to pair Obsidian with Cloud Code? You want Cloud Code to read your entire Vault directly, so there's no copying needed. It analyzes the links, the patterns, the context, and it essentially automates a lot of the stuff that you would need to put into it via skills or even giving it in a prompt. So a lot of that hand-holding is already done via the Vault or any of the smart folders. So any type of notes or scribbles that you might have regarding your code base or maybe a particular project, it will automatically be implemented via the Vault or smart folder from Obsidian into Cloud Code. So that's where a lot of the value prop is. But how are you using Obsidian with Cloud Code? I'm still kind of finding my way around it, but let me know in the comments. Remember, this has been Mastering Machines, where we discover tomorrow's reality.
