Stop getting stuck in your downswing. Turner, you can see your hands, arms, and club are super stuck and trapped behind your body. Okay, the reason why that's happening is because as you take the club back, your hands are going to lift and work out and away from you. To where halfway back, you can see your hands are not deep enough. Your hands are in the middle of your chest instead of your bicep, and the shaft is pointing too shallow. You're going to continue to lift your hands and arms up to the top to where your lead arm is way above shoulder plane, and your hands are over your toes. So from this top position, you're going to try to make the compensation because you're a better player to loop your hands back and behind you. The problem is, is that your lower body wants to fire. So if you think about it, if your hands are working back and behind you, but you're starting to rotate, that's a really good way to leave your hands, arms, and clubs stuck behind. Trail arms trapped, now you're going to have to stall rotation and throw this trail arm, trail hand, kind of scoop and flip through. And this is really how we're going to become more consistent, controlling that club face through impact. So the first thing that I want us to work on, I want you to work on how you're taking the club back. I want you to go up to a wall in your house, and at the top of your swing, I want the back of your trail arm, trail hand, and the club shaft all up against the wall, to where ideally you look just like Roy McIlroy with your lead arm matching shoulder plane, your hands directly over your heels, and from that new top position, when you beeline your hands down to the golf ball, you're going to shallow the club. You don't have to make some type of weird compensation to get the club back down onto the original plane.
