Claude Code Skills 20

Claude Code just got a massive upgrade to one of its most important features, skills. Because just yesterday, Anthropic released the new and improved Skill Creator, and it is a huge leap forward with how we create new skills and maintain the ones we have. And that's because this new Skill Creator now allows us to write evals, run benchmarks, and keep our skills working as models improve. And if that sounds like something surface level, it's not. It turns skills from a black box into something we can actually evaluate. And when I'm talking about evaluations, I'm talking about something like this. Here's a benchmark that Anthropic ran on its official PDF creation skill. And you can see it ran an A-B test with the skill and without the skill. And we actually can now have data that shows us what's going on under the hood with these skills. Furthermore, the Skill Creation tool optimizes skills we already have. And you know this is a problem if you've ever tried to run or invoke a skill, and Claude Code just doesn't do it. This Skill Creator solves that problem. The lines in blue and the lines in green are the new optimized skills using this creator. And the lines in gray are what we've been using beforehand. And you'll notice it's like a 50-50 shot if Claude Code even uses your skills in the first place. Now it's pretty easy to get the Skill Creator installed.
