Here's the best exercise to stop your early extension. Instead of your legs and hips thrusting forward causing your shoulders to get flat, think about keeping the depth in your hips, the depth in your legs. This is going to allow you to turn your shoulders through on a steeper axis. This feels like your right shoulder is turning more down and around towards your left foot. We don't want the right shoulder staying stuck behind the right hip, so keep the hips deep, push into that left side and then unwind the shoulders steeper.

This video explains how to fix early extension in your golf swing by maintaining hip depth and adjusting shoulder movement.

  1. Focus on maintaining hip depth during your swing.
  2. Avoid thrusting your legs and hips forward.
  3. Turn your shoulders on a steeper axis.
  4. Ensure your right shoulder moves down towards your left foot.
  5. Push into your left side while unwinding your shoulders.
