I just quietly transferred all my data from ChatGPT to Claude and in just two minutes you can do it too. But first, why even switch? So I've been a big fan of ChatGPT for a long time and it has its many advantages, but when it comes to writing and code, I just think Claude is much better. But the thing that keeps everyone stuck on ChatGPT is years of conversation history and context that, of course, you don't want to lose, but it turns out you don't have to. So just go to ChatGPT, Settings, Data Controls, and Export Data. They'll email you a zip file. Open the zip, grab the conversations file. It's got everything. And in Claude, you'll create a new project. Call it whatever you want. Then upload that file to the project knowledge base. Now every single chat that you start in this project knows your ChatGPT history. And if you want proof, just ask Claude, what do you know about me from my chat history? And it should all be there.
