I've been leaning more and more into disposable software, and it has completely changed my level of productivity. Now, we are used to enterprise-grade, super-professional software like Slack or Notion, maybe even personal apps like Uber or Pinterest. These are all maintained by teams of hundreds or thousands of engineers. But little old me can still vibe code an app that is just for me. And not only is it just for me, I might only need it for a day. If the internet doesn't have what you need, and no one's made the product that you need, then maybe you can make it yourself. And let me give you an example of one that I'm going to make for CES. CES is a massive tech conference that happens in Vegas every single year. The number of talks and booths are really overwhelming, but I can make an app to help me manage that in real time. I can make an app with my preferences, with my goals of the types of conversations I want to have, the types of things I want to learn. And I could interact with this app in new ways. Not just a chat, but I can make it an interactive checklist. I can make it a bingo board. And rather than scrolling through a long chat that is only text, I get a perfectly curated, customized app that is disposable. This is just one of the many benefits of the cost of AI dropping and the power of vibe coding. So if you have a trip coming up, if you have a work project coming up, challenge yourself, even if it's something really basic, to build an app just for that.
