So I have a friend who runs a company that he founded that does hundreds of millions in revenue and presumably is a billionaire. And he just gave some amazing business, but also honestly, life advice that I want to share with you. There's another entrepreneur who's very successful. He posted something in Hampton and he's clearly burnt out because he said, is there a way to grow my business without grinding so hard? A way for me not to be as involved where I can check out and just collect profits. I understand why he said that. Everyone has one of those days where you just feel burnt out. But here's what my billionaire buddy said. Name one truly hands off business that generates significant income for decades. It's actually hard to find any. And before you say car watches or restaurants, just go to talk to someone who owns about six of them. And here's his key point. If you want something that's truly hands off, why do you even care what the business is at that point is might as well just be a bunch of mutual funds paying dividends. Is that fulfilling? You can't say, oh, but it could grow without also saying it could shrink or go to zero. You don't get a scenario with only upside. That's my favorite part. So the real question isn't what business is the most hands off. It's what do you actually want to do? If it's money, maybe it's not even business after all. If it's building, why wouldn't you want to be involved? And if you're done building, just sell, take the cash and set your investments with a low risk and go and do what actually fulfills you. That's awesome. I feel like this all the time, by the way, where I just want to like quit and collect money. But you have to remember that the point why we're building companies is to have fun and to create something amazing, not just to be hands off. So this is some amazing advice from the billionaire.
