ByteDance is who create TikTok and they have a ton of open source resources that you're sleeping on. The projects they have in their GitHub are insane and might not be relevant for solo devs, but the ByteDance team and the engineering challenges they face are unique and they're really the only team in the world who's ever had to deal with these problems. And they have open source their solutions and their internal tooling that they use to run their applications. The project that stand out to me first is Dolphin, which is an OCR model that really goes and takes documents and text and breaks it out semantically so that LLMs can process and understand this information much more efficiently. UITars is an agent that runs in your local machine that can interact with all of your applications, consumes different processes and context of these applications and make actions on your behalf. And Flowgram AI is basically an enterprise level NAN or no code builder, allowing devs to create different workflows within the application. And again, it's all open source and free. Open source is alive and well, and there's just a few examples of applications that are out there in the wild. But the ByteDance team has definitely been putting a lot of work here and it's really interesting and cool to see these projects out in the wild.
