let me show you how I built this cool sprinkler at a pvc pipe for my garden bed, the one on the left here is already assembled and glued together, the one on the right I'm just showing you how the parts kind of lay out right before you glue them together, I'm using three-quarter inch pvc pipe and once I mark it I use this tool to trim it down to size, makes the job quick and easy, there's a specific type of pvc glue you need to use when you join your pipes together, one part is purple and that's a primer, the other part is blue and that's the glue, I always start with the primer first, you put it on the inside of your part and the outside of your tubing, then you do the same thing with the glue, coat it generously, you slide the two parts together, give it a quarter turn and then you got to hold it for the count of about 15 seconds, give that glue a chance to settle up, I like to assemble all my smallest parts first and then once I have that done I connect those small parts to the longer parts and then I finally I put the two long parts together with the union, process is the same, you put the primer on then the glue quarter turn hold it for 15 seconds and that's all there is to it, the end of this assembly just connects to a garden hose, I run my tape measure down the length of the pipe and then every six inches I'm going to drill a 1 16th inch hole, you don't want anything bigger than that, after I get that done I can go back through and put more holes in it every three inches, but remember the more holes you put in the less pressure you have, so the longer your pipe the fewer holes you're going to want to put in that pipe, I'll leave a complete material list under DIY garden bed sprinkler.
