At a coffee shop just now, this mom had two twin boys in a stroller in front of me in line, and these little kids are like, Muffin, mommy, muffin! And she's like, Alright guys, I'll go get your muffin. So she goes up to the cashier and she's like, Hey, do you guys have any muffins left? And he's like, No, we only have croissants and chocolate chip cookies. Without missing a beat, she's like, Alright, yeah, just give me one of each. So she grabs the croissant and the chocolate chip cookie, and she turns to the kids and she's like, Alright guys, let's go eat our muffin! And they're like, Yay! And that is motherhood. Life lesson? Just lie to your kids. Those little shits don't notice the difference, and now guess what? Now they get to try a croissant and a chocolate chip cookie. None the wiser.
